If I had a quarter for how many
times that I felt I needed to work to be “good enough” for God’s love, I could
be rich. Recently, I have been caught up in everyday life, and I have forgotten
to set aside time for God. This leads to days of trying to make up for the days
I had been distant. Due to my spiritual growth that occurs, my days begin to be
filled with more joy than ever.
Though this seems great in theory,
there is a flaw in my pursuit to strengthen my relationship with Christ once
more. My mistake is trying to make up for the days that were preoccupied by
school or my everyday actions. When I begin to feel the distant from Christ,
simultaneously I begin to feel obligated to somehow make up for the days that
had once been revolving around me.
It
brings me GREAT JOY to tell you that SALVATION has NOTHING to do with HUMAN
EFFORT!
The most important thing to Christ
is that you TRULY LIVE WITH FAITH that CHRIST is your SAVIOR. FAITH is what matters! Christianity is
based on FAITH alone. It is so crucial to know that “to be saved, you must
recognize that you cannot save yourself by keeping God’s law.” (Bible.org) LIVE
and BE REASSURED by the fact that all the trials you face are only ways for you
to allow God to demonstrate HIS POWER through you. You will sin because we are
in a fallen world,
BUT take heart knowing that when you sin,
Christ has already forgiven you.
