Colorado, you were a dream. I just got back from vacay in Keystone, Colorado and talk about a beautiful, fun vacation! This year I made a dream board with my goals for the year, and I filled it with all the places I wanted to travel to this year. Colorado was one of them. I have been to Colorado, but it was about 10 years ago. I thought I was overdue for another trip there if things permitted. Thankfully some of my family and I were able to pull together this trip and it was perfect! It was my mom, dad, my brother John, and my sister in law, Renny. My other two brothers couldn’t make it and were very missed!
We flew into Denver, CO, and then drove to Keystone, which is where we stayed for the next few days. Our place was right at the bottom of the mountain that we snowboarded/skied down, and it was within walking distant to the Gondola that took us to the top of the mountain. It was such a special, dreamy, luxurious trip, and for that, I am thankful. The last day we headed back to Denver, and on the way, we stopped at the Red Rocks amphitheater, which was another beautiful site to see. I also got to see one of my very best friends from growing up that lives in Denver!
It was such an amazing trip and talk about a beautiful place! The mountains around us had such a perfection to it that it seemed to be a painted picture. The snow was so white and so powdery that it almost sparkled. The green pine trees painted with fresh, white, powdery snow made it feel like a winter wonderland. It was all magical. Upon seeing such beauty, I cannot help but reflect on this beautiful creation’s Creator. What an imaginative God we serve! He created the beautiful sites in this world and the many places to travel to, and He is creating beautiful masterpieces everyday in each of our lives.
Here are pictures from our trip!
SO MUCH SNOW!
