  • The Inspiration of Stories

“Don’t be ashamed of your story, it will inspire others

    I could not have said
it better myself. As humans, we were designed for stories, designed to share
moments, memories, and milestones with one another.

These moments are what make up our story and set us apart from one another. Some moments are filled with joy and
good times, but some moments we want to bury deep inside of us—we want to
forget them. However, ALL of these moments are what make up our story.

We all have a story. We have all experienced joy, pain, heartbreak, anger, love. We all struggle.

Many believe the stereotypes of the
way one’s story should play out. However, there are not any moments meant to
happen at each stage of life. Life is never predictable, but what is constant in everyone’s life is that
God has a plan to prosper you, not to harm you, as said in Jeremiah 29:11. This
is the one promise that holds true in EVERYONE’S STORY.
    Hold onto that, and
know that God wrote your story at birth, and he will always carry you through
the joys and storms of life.

    This year I joined Belmont
University’s Phi Mu Theta chapter, and I have been so blessed by the people I
have met through this sorority. My big, Sarah Kate Brewer, has one amazing
story that she has decided to share with us through a campaign started by
another one of my sisters, Ainsley Britain. She started the Unveiled Campaign
to inspire others to unveil the lies we tell ourselves and to walk in the light
of truth of who God says we are. To be inspired and fueled for the future, go
to unveiledcampaign.com and see Sarah Kate’s story and Ainsley’s vision for
this moving, wonderful campaign and to see people living out this quote. I am
so proud of Sarah Kate because of her strength in sharing her story and
enabling so many girls to be freed by their story rather than ashamed.
