Some recent Easter thoughts:
The deeper I come to know Jesus and come to know the difficulties of life, the more in love I become with the Easter Holiday. We, including myself, are a culture guilty of a “ME, ME, ME” mentality with instant gratification (again I am including myself in this statement!)!
The Easter holiday is celebrating the most selfless deed in all of history: to be crucified on a cross, tortured, mocked, all the while having full power to not have to endure such a terrible death. Then the death and that evil had no victory as Jesus rose from the dead. Death has no sting — NOT for my God. He defeats all including every trial in this day and age you may experience.
Just incredible. This same God loves you more in a moment than anyone else can in a lifetime, and He chooses you everyday. We simply must turn to Him, say yes, and worship Him with our lives.
The holiday just gets better every year. Thank you Jesus.
Another truth about Easter that I remind myself of every year: The Truth of the miracles of Jesus are not diminished by your ability to believe they are true. Just the same, His love for you does not diminish regardless of your capacity to believe it or accept it.
Jesus keeps His promises and makes all things new.
I am so thankful for the God we serve, and for all the earthly blessings from Him including my family.
