Easter 2023 is all wrapped up, and what another great Easter Holiday it was.
The older I get, the more undeserving and sinful I realize I am.
Just the same, the deeper I come to know Jesus in pursuit of Him, the more I realize His character wouldn’t ever let that stop him from such a sacrifice even for a sinner like me.
I think that is what makes Easter become sweeter every year with even more of a posture of worship and surrender in celebration and reflection on just how loved we are by Jesus.
The thing about Easter is it is not meant to just be 3 days or a week of reflection.
2 Corinthians 4:10 says, “We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body” (NIV).
Easter is a remembrance of His death and resurrection, but before Jesus leaves to be with the Father, He gives us His advocate, the Holy Spirit, to be with us and live in our hearts.
Our life –had only because of the death of Jesus—is for us to work to reveal Him through our lives. We live, so that we may reveal Him in everything that we do—through our words and actions.
As the Easter season closes for this year, my prayer is continued daily remembrance of His sacrifice and fulfillment of every promise 3 days later as well as the daily revealing of such a sacrifice and hope to others.
He paid too high a price for me to not.
May we reveal such love and hope as our heartbeat through life.
I hope you and yours had a wonderful Easter. Here are a few pictures from mine:
