Whew! Summer content is the best content — AMIRITE?!
Here’s to looking at youuuuu – Summer of 2022!
It has been a minute friends, but again it is summer break from DNP school — so get ready for playing post catch up!
Summer break really kicked off with a bang having lake days, Memorial Day celebrating, my little brother’s wedding, and then the CMA fest (which if you know me, you know is my favorite time of year!).
SO — first up, lake weekends and Memorial Day! It was a family weekend for the holiday! We did a bit of wake surfing, games, chilling, and enjoying the company of one another. The lake is just the most relaxing place to be!
Please ignore the corny sunglasses — I had to borrow my brothers extras from a work event — they were like a free handout glasses. I mean stylish or what?! Haha.

Then my little brother got married, and when I say the wedding was the best, I am no where near exaggerating! I mean talk about a great weekend.
It is special to have everyone that is so important to your family and your brother in one room celebrating them and the newlyweds new chapter of life. The dance floor and band was electric. I mean it was a GREAT night and really a great whole weekend of celebrations!!
And my little brother is married — so exciting and wild all at the same time.
I am so happy for him and his WIFE, whom I LOVE — LeeLee (my new sis).
^^^ A TRUE VISION!
They are a beautiful couple with a love and passion for Jesus. God directs their steps on the race set before them, and that makes all the difference. Congrats to the Jim Garretts! 🙂
Finally, this past weekend was CMA fest here in Nashville, and while this brings in SO many people to visit the city to go to the festival, I personally LOVE this event.
It is crazy busy downtown, but the passion that the artists have for country music and the excitement the fans have to see their favorite artists really ignite this country music fan!
I have always loved country music, and if you have a passion for country, then this event will only fuel more love of genre and artists.
So far, it has been a great start to the summer!
Of late, I have also been leaning in to the ways God is teaching me patience in the journey of life. It is funny how time is. Yah know, God never intended for our life to be confined to time. It was because of the fall of man that our time is limited.
Each day is fleeting, and one we will never get back. Though human nature tempts us to want to accomplish everything and reach the finish line right away, there is a joy in the everyday. There is always the race to be run until we get to Heaven. And oh how sweet that will be — the arrival to Heaven.
As much as we love each day of this life, the promise is the best is still yet to come. So while sometimes it seems like days are long, and our dreams are still unattainable right away — have patience in the everyday, because everyday is preparing you for what purpose you are meant for. For such a time as this. We don’t have success overnight. We don’t finish the race overnight.
My reminders: Bring joy in the everyday. Have patience. Pursue God in everything.
Thanks for reading that little lesson of late of mine! Just my current prayers and reflections that you may resonate with, and if not, keep scrolling! Haha.
Anyways, I can’t wait for more lake trips and my upcoming birthday! More pictures to come throughout the summer!
Thanks for reading!
