  • Life Lately: The Cudmore Wedding

What a weekend last weekend was!

My very best childhood friend that is like family because of how long we have known each other got married!

Chris and Amy: such a perfect couple made for each other which made the day and weekend even that more special.

Amy comes alive when Chris, her husband, is around, and it is a beautiful side of Amy that I hadn’t ever seen until when she met and when she would talk about Chris.

That’s when I knew they were soulmates.

I am so happy for the two lovebirds, and it could not have been a more perfect celebratory weekend for the happy couple.

It was a Friday evening wedding, so we had rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Thursday night at the church and then Richland Country Club. The bridesmaids also did some prepping for the wedding before the rehearsal dinner with nails and a bridal luncheon to get into the spirit of WEDDING TIME!

On Friday morning, it started as an early morning so we had to get the necessities: Starbucks. Then we headed to one of the most fancy places that was our venue for getting our hair and makeup done: Hunter Paige by Parlour 3.

I must say this is my current #1 recommended place to get hair and makeup done. They do it right for a multitude of reasons!

One of the reasons being the decorations and aesthetic. It was fancy, clean, and elegant. The chandeliers, the accent wall with beautiful flowers, and the comfy sofas. The color scheme was also so appealing and consistent. I can’t say enough about how pretty it was.

Then how they made you look! All the girls doing hair and makeup were very professional in the way they carried themselves while also being real and genuine.

My makeup was flawless, and I never had to retouch the entire night. I only had to reapply lip gloss. There was so much coverage, and your artist makes sure to ask how you want the look: coverage and color wise.

Then my hair! It was done almost just like I had imagined. I had a picture that I showed my stylist and she nailed it! Not to mention how great it was, but then how fabulous it stayed! The curls were so intact still on the third day after the wedding. Thanks dry shampoo for also keeping me able to keep the curls!

After such a great start to the morning at Hunter Paige, we headed to the church!

We had pictures galore, snacking, bonding, praying, fellowshipping, and then wedding time was here before we knew it.

The wedding was at Scarritt-Bennett, which is an absolutely beautiful church here in Nashville, TN.

Amy, the bride and bestie, looked absolutely gorgeous! She was a vision! Her dress, her hair, her makeup—flawless! She was such a rockstar bride. I so enjoyed celebrating her and it is easy when it is someone like Amy. She is gracious, thankful, and loyal with her inner beauty more evident than her flawless appearance.

I’ve known Amy my whole life because of my mom and her mom’s friendship in high school that went into college and into adult life. Then both my mom and her mom married their high school sweethearts, and then proceeded to have kids: boy, girl, boy, boy at the same ages. Talk about crazy! So we have twin families, and it is great!

The reception was at the Tennessee State Museum, a relatively new venue off Rosa Parks here in Nashville. The venue was very fancy with a modern build. There was a cocktail hour on the upper level overlooking the first floor. Cocktails were followed by a dinner and of course all the dancing!

It was a magical day and weekend, and I was thankful to be a part of it!

Here are all the photos! 🙂 Enjoy!

    Rehearsal Dinner

The whole weekend was filled with the fanciest of venues including where we got our nails done! This is Noir in the Brentwood Hill Center. Check it out for such a good mani pedi and feeling like a queen!

The beautiful bride on Wedding Day!

The maids 🙂 So cool how celebrating such a fabulous gal brings together so many fabulous friends from all walks of life.

Ignoring all our bags, see how cute this venue is! The chandelier and this mirror!

    FELT SO FABULOUS!

Surprised we didn’t overheat the camera with all our hotness 😉

From playing house to building our own houses and lives! Imagination to reality: what a special friend I have in Amy Schumacher Cudmore!

    My fabulous makeup artist!

    Touch ups before game time!

    Thank you Lord for family!

    Twin Families 🙂

I mean what a bridal BEAUTY!
