Can you believe that the month of January is already coming to a close?!
Time flies— trying to savor every moment! It’s going to be 2021 before we know it!
January has been a great month to start the year filled with some planning for this space! I am really excited about some ideas for helping the blog’s direction and for the T-Shirts! 🙂
For the blog, posts and the content will be a little more organized, so each week will be a designated topic I write on. That way you will know what to expect a post(s) on each week.
- Week 1 of the month: a faith based post with a devotional component. I am doing a bible study next month, and I am excited to share some of our revelations in the book we are reading on here!
- Week 2 of the month: a Nashville based post including my Nashville guides, places to try, things I love about Nashville, my shirts and features, etc.
- Week 3 of the month: lifestyle topic posts which includes nursing topics, fashion, travel, crafts, Katie Girl favorites, etc.
- Week 4 of the month: a life lately post with a summary and pictures of the month.
I also have a new T-shirt design in the works, and I am SO excited about this one! I think you all will love it, and I will be using different styles of t-shirts vs just your standard tee. Be on the lookout for more details that will be posted on here, instagram, facebook, and my other social media platforms.
January — You were a great month filled with family time, journaling at Starbucks, working, roommate hangs including a triple date, football, seeing my friends that have moved away, bachelor watch party nights, BABY showers, and a last minute trip to come!
On New Years Day, I hung out with family including my littlest cousin, John Samuel. This boy is so darn cute! He is my cousin’s child, so whatever relationship that makes him to me but I’ll stick to calling him my little cousin.
Also “Friends” was taken off Netflix on New Year’s Day! STRAIGHT TEARS! That was my go to show!
Jokes cause BE KIND, but I want “Friends” back on Netflix!
My word for the year is COURAGE, so I’ve used these as backgrounds to things to remind myself to be courageous in life. I never want a missed opportunity to be due to a lack of courage!
I also have a new journal for the year pictured here from the store Imago Dei, and January has been filled of entries in this! I love it!
January also were days of a lot of nursing shifts! One weekend was one where I worked 4 nursing shifts in a row, and it was HARD! However, I did it! So it’s is reassuring now to think there is not many work things I can’t get through after doing that!
The roommates and I went to dinner with our boyfriends on a triple date! This was so fun, and something we’ve never done because Jessica’s boyfriend doesn’t live in Nashville! We didn’t get a group picture, but Trenton and I got a selfies and enjoy this other selfie of Jessica and Michael!
IT SNOWED—well flurried, but still! And it was also 57 degrees at one point. Love this Nashville weather.
Also there was a lot of big football games this month including the College National Championship and the AFC Championship. Very sad the Titans couldn’t pull out the win, but it was a good run for sure!
I also did a bunch of pictures of outfits using my new blogging light that I got for Christmas! There is a remote to it as well, so my roomies do not have to take all my pictures ;). I have been LOVING it! Best gift!
Testing 1, 2, 3….
Outfits from this month which you can shop these outfits here.
There was more great family time, and I captured some moments of me hanging with the littles. John Samuel was not so sure about all the picture taking! HAHA
Also this was captured with the older bro! We haven’t taken a present day picture just us two in a while, so I‘m glad we got this!
I also had some friends that had moved away to do travel nursing come and visit including my bestie Emily and my other bestie Sam! I didn’t get pictures with either of them, but it was so great to have them back in Nash! I did get a video of the beautiful Em:
And finally this past weekend was a celebration for another lifelong bestie that no longer lives in Nashville. My friend Grayson is having a baby! We showered the babe with love, and it was so special to have her back in town and get to see her!
Oh and lastly January had all The Bachelor watch party nights including right now!
January, you’ve been a good one! It has flown by, but there were great memories!
Thanks for reading, and I hope everyone else has had a fabulous January as well!
