Recently, I have been writing on a great deal of topics that I’ve been wanting to share with you all, but I am finding myself with a couple of paragraphs and no full finish to my posts. This is a classic me thing that happens often throughout my life. Its a big thing I am working on! I often take on projects or have ideas of things I want to accomplish. My list becomes very long and I take on a lot. I dive right in to everything getting a great amount of progress on each task or post but not successfully finishing one. UGH. “The struggle is real” as they say!
So instead I thought I would share some pictures I’ve taken recently with a little life update on what I’ve been up to besides posting half written blog posts! Haha!
Nashville has been having the best weather lately with the best sunshiney days. I love to lay in my Eno in my front yard and read or write or just soak in the sun.
I was never a huge Eno fan when they first were very popular, but my brother was and got one. I asked to “borrow” it one day, and then I was hooked on the Eno life. Thankfully, he was kind enough to let me keep it. Thanks Jim!
I also have a crush on SUNDAYS! I love a good sunshiney Sunday spent with Jesus, family, sunshine, reading, writing, drawing, and hanging in the Eno!
I am a little late, but this was from Mother’s Day! One of the gifts to my mom was a necklace like Renny and I have that is the initial of your name. Here is our model pose with our “L” “B” and “K” necklaces.
Mothers are a fabulous gift to this world. The bond a child and Mother share is quite extraordinary, and I thank all the mothers out there that sacrifice so much for their children. Specifically to you mom: you are the most loving and selfless people out there, and there are not enough words to thank you for all you have done and continue to do for me!
^Two other Mother’s Day pictures: one with my brother and cousin Jack, who just cracks you up with his curious questions and bold statements! The other picture is me with our newest cousin: John Samuel! I could have held him for days!
I’ve written about my love for the workout Orange Theory Fitness on here, and even better is topping my workout off with a trip to the Juice Bar. I love getting a turmeric shot after my workouts. Turmeric has a lot of health benefits including decreasing inflammation, increasing brain function, and preventing cancer. However, these shots are NO JOKE! In my opinion, they are terrible: definitely an acquired taste that I have yet to acquire! However, I take them just as I conquer other hard things that we may not want to do! So a little positivity that even though we are required to do hard things– YOU CAN DO THEM!
Highly recommend the restaurant Butchertown Hall in Germantown! I went there for the first time over the weekend, and it was AMAZING! The food is great, and the candid photo opportunities are greater!
Then there was no better way to cap off Memorial Day Weekend with being on the lake. I got a little too sunburnt, but my heart still thrives for lake days in the sunshine!
*There is not much that beats a boat ride at sunset! Thank you Lord for this view!*
I am a day late, but Happy Memorial Day to everyone and especially to those that have served. I am so thankful to those that have sacrificed so much for the Freedom of America. I hope any and every veteran and active soldier realizes how thankful and indebted we are to you all.
I hope you enjoyed this photo dump! Don’t judge the poor photo taking skill. I don’t claim to know what I am doing behind the camera, but I love snapping the memories!
Love always,
Katie Girl
