Wow! It is hard to believe that summer 2022 has come to a close!
For me, grad school began on August 1st! And it was probably my last first day of school ever as it is my last year of graduate school to finish my doctorate!
As probably obvious from the many blog posts, I am a reflector, who enjoys looking back at the ways in which life has been so gracious to me. Summer 2022 is no exception!
So summer 2022–thanks for being another one for the books!
It was filled with many milestones including my youngest brother getting married, my 29th birthday, two of my best gal pals having babies, many lake trips, amusement park adventures, CMA fest, and so many memories in between!
I am so thankful for this life, yet may it always bring back glory to God– in my relationships, my adventures, my trips, the seemingly mundane moments. My life means nothing if I am not living for something that gives far more purpose than satisfying myself.
I constantly remind myself that this life is a gift, not something we deserve. May this be a reminder on our hearts always.
One of my many favorite verses in the Bible is John 10:10, which says: “I came to give you life and to have it to the full” (John 10:10b, NIV). We have such a glorious life, which through God is meant to be lived to the full. It is Jesus’s ability to fully know and fully love perfectly that we can find true enjoyment.
However, it was not without the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The best part about it was He wanted that for us — He wanted to die to give us life. But let us not forget how gracious we should be in return for His grace.
So thankful to God for this life and the people in it that give me fullness in life.
A little recap with lots of pictures:
All the lake trips, cub cadet rides with the dogs, wake surfing, boat rides, time with family, 4th of July, sunset rides, and so much more! Thank you Jesus for Rock Island!
My youngest brother’s wedding–one of the biggest highlights! Gosh, WHAT A NIGHT and what a couple! Some of these are repeats or not included because full post on the month of June and the wedding linked here.

My birthday– spent chasing waterfalls, a mexican dinner, and a lake trip! Birthday post here.
Holiday world day trip:
Gosh this summer was hotttt! As much as I would love to build a pool, this inflatable one was a much cheaper option.
All the family get togethers and my aunt got a new puppy that is just the cutest!
Pool/Golf days at Richland:
Summer is for the girls!:
One of my best friend’s babies! OMG he is freaking adorable, and already so much bigger than when these were taken! Babies don’t keep!
My other best friends little babe! Give me all the babies– I could hold them allll day long!
Many Pure Barre classes– I have been back on the Pure Barre grind! I did these classes so often prior to Orange Theory Fitness! I got back into the swing of Pure Barre and now I do both!
& wrapped up the summer with a Wiz concert and the fair! 🙂
What a fabulous summer it was! Thankful for all the memories!
