Wow! It is hard to believe that summer 2022 has come to a close!
For me, grad school began on August 1st! And it was probably my last first day of school ever as it is my last year of graduate school to finish my doctorate!
As probably obvious from the many blog posts, I am a reflector, who enjoys looking back at the ways in which life has been so gracious to me. Summer 2022 is no exception!
So summer 2022–thanks for being another one for the books!
It was filled with many milestones including my youngest brother getting married, my 29th birthday, two of my best gal pals having babies, many lake trips, amusement park adventures, CMA fest, and so many memories in between!
I am so thankful for this life, yet may it always bring back glory to God– in my relationships, my adventures, my trips, the seemingly mundane moments. My life means nothing if I am not living for something that gives far more purpose than satisfying myself.
I constantly remind myself that this life is a gift, not something we deserve. May this be a reminder on our hearts always.
One of my many favorite verses in the Bible is John 10:10, which says: “I came to give you life and to have it to the full” (John 10:10b, NIV). We have such a glorious life, which through God is meant to be lived to the full. It is Jesus’s ability to fully know and fully love perfectly that we can find true enjoyment.
However, it was not without the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The best part about it was He wanted that for us — He wanted to die to give us life. But let us not forget how gracious we should be in return for His grace.
So thankful to God for this life and the people in it that give me fullness in life.
